What we do
People take pictures to tell stories – not to create an unmanageable clutter of digital photos.
Ironically, our computers, point-n-shoot cameras, camera phones and tablets are full of digital photos from vacations, birthdays, parties, skiing trips, kids soccer games... you get the drift. More has become less - We’re trapped in a world of digital photo clutter.
The PhotoGurus solve this problem – forever.
The PhotoGurus app and web service allow you to upload ALL
your
digital photos from an event. You don’t have to sort,
choose or organize your photos. Just upload them all!
Our storytellers and design experts (gurus) will choose the best pictures based on-who the key personalities in the story are, emotion in the photos, scenic beauty, context etc. We then handcraft each page of your photo book and create something enjoyable and organized for you to cherish forever. No more digital clutter.

Naren Dubey, Ph.D.
Naren has lived two lives in his career – First, he was in the world of high-tech microchip manufacturing and solar energy where he built the first fab in thin-film photo voltaics. Prior to that, he invented a biomaterial for nerve repair during his doctoral work. In his second life (and his real love) he immersed himself in the world of digital photos and videos. Naren co-founded and built ScanCafe.com, the world’s largest online hub to convert old photos and videos into digital format. Father of two, he is a serious-hobbyist photographer who loves taking pictures of his family on vacations. The problem of "too many digital photos" inspired him to build the PhotoGurus platform as a solution.

Naren holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, UPenn, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Naren is an outdoorsman who loves hiking and surfing and when fully unplugged, loves painting with oil on canvas.

He co-founded ScanCafe.com and built the entire software and storage infrastructure from the ground-up.

Laurent has a Masters in Software Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
